10' speed boat

This is our ten foot speed boat that I built for my kids.  It was a family project with lots of assistance from my 10 year old daughter and 7 year old son.  The frame is mahogany with 3/8" cedar planking the hull bottom and sides. 5mm baltic birch makes up the deck.  The entire boat is laminated with two layers of fiberglass set in MAS epoxy.  Fairing was done with MAS and micro balloons.  Most of the construction took place at 60 degrees and there was never any blush with the slow hardener. 

Top speed is 26 mph and she'll pull my daughter out of the water on one ski.  Lots of fun with 18 hp using less than a gallon of gas an hour!
