BOGUS BATOID

This was my first attempt at strip building a boat and I found out about MAS epoxy from Midwest Kayak from whom I purchased the cedar. The epoxy was a pleasure to work with compared to some others that I have used over the years and it still amazes me with its clarity even with multiple layers of glass. Thanks for a great product.
 
The sub, Bogus Batoid, was built for entry in the 9th International Submarine Race held this past June. Although it definitely was not a fast boat, it got a lot of attention with its retro wood look and flapping wing propulsion system.
