Hello,
I'm a surfer from Hawaii, stuck in Henderson Nevada waiting for the tide to come in! I came out here to help Mom and Dad and I'm bored out of my mind. I've always wanted to build a Boat so I decided to give it a try. I've been a surfer my whole life, so I've repaird my boards and I've made a few boards for myself and my daughters (who still surf in Hawaii) so I have had some experience.
I've never worked with epoxy resins before. When I started this project I started using MAS EPOXIES for everything (gluing, bonding, laminating etc.) and the support I get from this web site is great, which means so much (there are still nice people here on the mainland).
Now, my boat, I've made a few mistakes, but its my first time and I can live with them (HELL! Im a bartender and I'm trying to be a boat builder) But HEY! Im learning alot and having fun. But the next boat I build, you can be sure that Im going to be using MAS EPOXIES. You people have been great, thanks.
Surfboard building has made a big change in the last few years since Clark Foam went out, they're making a lot of boards out of EPOXY now days, maybe I can learn how to do that before I head back home to Hawaii. Maybe? THANKS AGAIN Bill
