The wood on the blue boat that is bonded is Ipe pronounced e-pay it shows how well it works 6 years.
The wood in the white boats is refinished with our epoxy and it is 6 years old as well.
MAS Epoxies was used on Whaler restorations to stabilize the wood so that polyurethane varnish can be used for high abrasion resistance and UV without polyurethane "shattering" from wood dimension changes.
Here's the pictures of the rail restoration on a late 50's fiberglass Navy hull that had oak rails that had rotted. This is two laminations of Ipe that bend around the bow and upsweep about 9" in 8 foot. An armature job, but it turned out well and you can ram steel barges. This boat was used for chasing Opti's in the local fleet and supporting wine bottles.
The Whaler (1979) is used constantly in the creeks and hides out of the sunlight under the house. So far, 6 years without trouble.
