Aircraft Project

Aircraft Project
Aircraft Project
I'm building another show plane to be flown and displayed at the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture Oshkosh air show and convention. My last project, a T-18, won top honors in 2003.  The latest project is a Van's RV-8 kit plane fully aerobatic at speeds over 200 mph. Basically aluminum construction with fiberglass cowling, wing tips, wheel fairings, canopy skirt, and tail fairings.  The windscreen is bonded to the aluminum with MAS resin and glass. All other glass parts are finished starting with MAS Flag and slow to medium hardeners with micro balloons then filler primed painted and clear coated buffed to a mirror finish.  This project should be ready for paint this summer '09.  The FAA required test flight period will be flown unpainted.

I haven't decided on the nose art yet but the engine builder, Lycoming may get the honor for their Thunderbolt engine they built for me. I think the MAS logo would make great nose art and generate interest in the MAS line.  Lots of composite aircraft are homebuilt and lots of product are introduced and sold at these shows. Maybe we can do some advertising for you.  Thanks for the great products I recommend them highly and use nothing else.  Jerry Hajek Houston, TX
